Traffic jams are a terrible problem in the capital city of my country of origin, Jakarta of Indonesia. So far, there has not been any solution to handle this long-lasting problem.

I have big interest and passion in foreign languages. Since i was a little girl, i have been shifting from one city to another city with different culture background. Those cities have different local languages. I learned the local languages autodidact. From those local languages, I learned they have their own pattern and are unique linguistically. English has been my favorite subject since I got English on 3rd grade. My highest score would be English. That’s why i chose English Literature major for my Bachelor Degree. It turned out that I learned Linguistics more than Literature. Linguistics has drawn my attention. Those forming of sounds, words, and sentences were interesting. So were the connection of languages with circumstances, brain, etc. So with these reasons above I am giving a try for myself to be part of the General Cultural Scholarship Scheme Program.

I believe by applying to this program will certainly change my life as I put myself in a more challenging environment and leave my comfort zone in Jakarta. I always want to strive for the best out of myself and learn for more knowledge as much as I can. Since I was at school and university or even in a working environment, I have been very active in some organizations and extra-curricular activities. I like to be socialized and take part as a leader or other important roles. Furthermore, I pursued my Bachelor Degree in Malaysia which has multi-cultural and international environment which forced me to be independent and also team-player at the same time. I am very enthusiastic with the program that correlates me to broader networking and opens more opportunities for my future. There are a lot of questions in my head about how the knowledge shared and intimacy among students and lectures and also companies are done in European countries where mostly best leaders around the world are made. It was my dream to experience it directly and I want to realize it through this program.
